Abstract

To provide an optical system that is small-sized and can satisfactorily correct various aberrations from a center of a screen to a periphery of the screen.SOLUTION: An optical system has at least one or more lenses and a meta-lens. The meta-lens includes a lens surface that causes a phase change on a wave front of passing light. A phase function of the lens surface representing the amount of phase change on the wave front corresponding to a position in a radial direction of the meta-lens includes at least one of a critical point and an inflection point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
