Abstract

Methods and compositions are provided herein for cell differentiation or alteration of protein expression that can result in the production of biopharmaceutical-related proteins or engineered cells for use as therapeutic pharmaceutical products. The compositions may include sugars, nucleic acid molecules, and / or polymeric materials. The compositions and methods may promote or facilitate uptake of nucleic acids by cells. The compositions and methods may promote or facilitate differentiation of cells. In some embodiments, the compositions include sugars, and nucleic acid molecules configured to facilitate changes in protein expression in cells, and polymeric materials configured to encapsulate or attach to cells.
