Abstract

To provide an abnormality detection system and an abnormality detection method capable of reducing communication costs.SOLUTION: A band conversion circuit 21 divides an ultrasonic signal UWS into fixed time segments, divides each fixed time segment into n time periods, and concurrently converts the n ultrasonic signals after division contained in the n time periods into n audible signals. Then, n encoders 22[1]-22[n] generate n encoder output signals from the n audible signals, and n transmission circuits 23[1]-23[n] transmit the n encoder output signals. A reception side signal processing device 40 includes n reception circuits 43[1]-43[n] that receive the n encoder output signals, n decoders 44[1]-44[n] that generate n decoder output signals from the n encoder output signals, and a combination circuit 45 that combines the n decoder output signals to restore the ultrasonic signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
