Abstract

To provide a video display device that can display a volumetric video by reducing the load on memory usage.SOLUTION: A video display device includes a fixed-length conversion unit 10 that converts each property of a 3D point cloud into fixed-length data for each frame and writes it to memory 12, a synchronization information generation unit 11 that generates synchronization information indicating that the fixed-length data has been written to the memory 12, and writes it to the memory 12, a synchronization determination unit 13 that determines whether the fixed-length data has been updated on the basis of the synchronization information written to the memory 12, and a rendering unit 14 that reads the fixed-length data determined as updated by the synchronization determination unit 13, reconstructs the 3D point cloud for each frame, and renders it to generate a volumetric video.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
