AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
Existing gas generators discharge combustion residues to the outside, which is undesirable.
Method used
The gas generator employs a gas exhaust hole with a chamfered area on the inner surface of the housing, covered by a metal seal that ruptures under combustion pressure, allowing the seal to remain partially within the hole, reducing residue discharge.
Benefits of technology
This configuration effectively minimizes the amount of combustion residue discharged by ensuring the seal remains in the hole, thus reducing residue emissions.

Abstract
To provide technique which is capable of reducing amount of combustion residue which is discharged to outside of a gas producer.SOLUTION: A gas producer comprises an igniter, a gas generating agent which generates fuel gas by burning by actuation of the igniter, a housing which accommodates the igniter and the gas generating agent inside, a gas discharge hole which penetrates inside and outside of the housing and a seal made of a metal which is formed in sheet-like shape and is attached to internal surface of the housing and blocks the gas discharge hole by covering an opening of inner surface side of the housing in the gas discharge hole before actuation of the igniter and opens the gas discharge hole by cracking by receiving pressure of combustion gas generating by the actuation of the igniter. The gas discharge hole includes chamfering area on which a corner part of the opening of the inner surface side of the housing is removed over whole circumference.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
