AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
Existing data processing devices face issues where power supply voltage drops can lead to abnormal data being written to storage units during write operations, compromising the integrity of stored data for diagnostic analysis.
Method used
Incorporating a nonvolatile storage unit, a detection unit to monitor power supply voltage, and a control unit that inhibits data writing during voltage drops, ensuring data is written only when the voltage is stable.
Benefits of technology
Prevents abnormal data from being written to storage, enabling the acquisition of useful data for device analysis and diagnosis by maintaining data integrity during power fluctuations.

Abstract
To provide a data processing device capable of acquiring useful data to be used for analyzing or diagnosing the device by preventing data, which are not normal, from being written in a storage section.SOLUTION: A data processing device includes: a nonvolatile storage section which maintains a stored content even if a power supply voltage is not being supplied; a detection section which detects reduction of the power supply voltage supplied to the own device; and a control section which is operated by the power supply voltage and writes predetermined data in the nonvolatile storage section in predetermined write timing. The control section suppresses write of the predetermined data into the nonvolatile storage section in a case where the detection section detects reduction of the power supply voltage, and does not suppresses write of the predetermined data into the nonvolatile storage section in a case where the detection section does not detect reduction of the power supply voltage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
