Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a gasket that can be attached to a joint in a building and an exterior wall joint structure. [Background technology]
[0002] Patent Document 1 discloses a joint structure in which a hollow water-stopping member is provided in a joint formed by overlapping water-stopping plate parts protruding from the side parts of adjacent exterior wall facing materials on the left and right. Patent Document 2 discloses a gasket that can form a hollow drainage path by being fitted into the joint and deforming. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2020-60064 A [Patent Document 2] Patent No. 481788 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] However, the water-stopping member used in the joint structure of Patent Document 1 is not structured to capture water that has entered between the water-stopping member and the vertical joint into a hollow portion and use the hollow portion as a drainage path. On the other hand, the gasket of Patent Document 2 can form a hollow drainage path, but the gasket portion located at the horizontal joint is not deformed, so the hollow drainage path cannot be formed, and there is a drawback in that it is difficult to secure a drainage path at this horizontal joint.
[0005] In consideration of the above circumstances, an object of the present invention is to provide a gasket and exterior wall joint structure that can capture water that has entered a vertical joint and drain it by using the hollow portion as a drainage path, and also can accurately ensure a drainage path in the horizontal joint portion. [Means for solving the problem]
[0006] In order to solve the above problems, the gasket of the present invention is characterized in that it has a back surface and side surfaces on both sides that come into contact with the water-stopping area to stop water, and a front surface that does not come into contact with the water-stopping area, as well as a cavity that communicates in the longitudinal direction, and a horizontal hole that penetrates from the side surfaces to the cavity and guides water into the cavity.
[0007] With the above configuration, water that has entered between the water-stopping portion and the side portion of the gasket can be guided from the horizontal hole portion to the cavity portion and drained downward from the cavity portion, thereby preventing the water from flowing around to the back side of the gasket and providing high water-stopping performance. In addition, the gasket can be bonded to the water-stopping portion over a wide surface area formed by the back side and the side portion, thereby preventing the gasket from slipping. In addition, since the gasket has a hollow shape with a cavity portion that communicates in the longitudinal direction, a drainage path through the cavity portion is ensured even in areas where horizontal joints exist.
[0008] The horizontal holes may be formed in both side surfaces so as to be offset from each other and not opposed to each other. In this way, a screw can be inserted into the hollow portion from the horizontal hole in one side surface of the gasket and then passed through the other side surface and screwed into the water-stopping portion where the other side surface contacts, thereby further suppressing the displacement of the gasket.
[0009] A protrusion for blocking infiltration of water into the back surface may be provided at a position closer to the back surface than the horizontal hole, whereby the protrusion can suppress infiltration of water into the back surface and can also guide the water to the horizontal hole.
[0010] The waterproof member may further include an insertion portion that is positioned opposite the back surface portion and into which a member of the waterproof portion is inserted between the insertion portion and the back surface portion. This makes it possible to stop water from entering the back side of the member of the waterproof portion.
[0011] The surface portion may be provided with a surface layer portion made of a material different from or the same as the material forming the main body of the gasket. This makes it easy to make a structure in which only the surface layer portion hangs down from the main body. It also makes it easy to give the surface layer a color or pattern that matches the color tone of the water-stopping portion.
[0012] In addition, the exterior wall joint structure of the present invention is characterized in that the gasket is attached with the longitudinal direction vertical to the vertical joint that serves as the water-stopping portion of adjacent exterior wall surface materials or exterior wall panel units on the left and right.
[0013] With the exterior wall joint structure having the above-mentioned configuration, watertightness is suitably achieved by the gasket in the vertical joints that serve as the watertight locations of the exterior wall facing materials or exterior wall panel units adjacent to each other on the left and right.
[0014] In the above-mentioned exterior wall joint structure, a short gasket having a vertical hole communicating with the cavity may be installed between upper and lower gaskets attached to the vertical joints of the exterior wall facing materials or exterior wall panel units located above and below. This allows the upper and lower gaskets attached to the vertical joints of the exterior wall facing materials or exterior wall panel units located above and below to be connected without gaps by the short gasket, thereby allowing appropriate drainage by the upper and lower gaskets.
[0015] In the above-mentioned exterior wall joint structure, a cylindrical guide member that fits into the cavity of the gasket may be attached to the vertical hole of the short gasket. In this way, the guide member can facilitate the connection work between the upper and lower gaskets.
[0016] In addition, the exterior wall joint structure of the present invention may be such that a gasket having the horizontal holes formed in the side surfaces on both sides, not facing each other but offset from each other, is attached with the longitudinal direction vertical to the vertical joint that serves as the water-stopping portion of the exterior wall surface materials or exterior wall panel units adjacent to each other on the left and right, and a screw inserted into the hollow portion from the horizontal hole in one side surface of the gasket penetrates the other side surface and is screwed into the vertical joint portion where the other side surface contacts. This can further suppress the shifting movement of the gasket.
[0017] In addition, the exterior wall joint structure of the present invention may be attached with the longitudinal direction vertically to the vertical joints that serve as the water-stopping points of the exterior wall facing materials or exterior wall panel units adjacent to each other on the left and right, and a short gasket having a vertical hole portion communicating with the cavity portion may be interposed between upper and lower gaskets attached to the vertical joints of the exterior wall facing materials or exterior wall panel units positioned above and below, and the surface layer portion may be suspended below the lower end of the main body portion, and this suspended portion may cover the front side of the short gasket. This makes it possible to position the surface layer portions continuously in the gaskets of the exterior wall facing materials or exterior wall panel units positioned above and below, thereby improving the aesthetic appearance of the exterior wall. Effect of the Invention
[0018] According to the present invention, water that has entered between the side portion of the gasket and the water-stopping portion can be guided from the horizontal hole portion to the hollow portion and drained downward from the hollow portion, so that the water is prevented from flowing around to the back side of the gasket, and high water-stopping performance can be achieved. In addition, the gasket can be bonded to the water-stopping portion over a wide area formed by the back side and both side portions of the gasket, which also has the effect of preventing the gasket from slipping. [0020] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. As shown in FIG. 1, the gasket 1 of the embodiment is substantially rectangular tubular and has a back surface 1a and side surfaces 1b, 1b on both sides that come into contact with the water-stopping portion to stop water, and a front surface 1c that does not come into contact with the water-stopping portion. The gasket 1 also has a hollow portion 1d that is connected in the longitudinal direction and has a substantially rectangular cross-section, and a horizontal hole portion 1e that is, for example, circular, that penetrates from the side surface portion 1b to the hollow portion 1d to guide water into the hollow portion 1d.
[0021] The diameter of the horizontal hole 1e is set to, for example, approximately half the length of one side of the hollow portion 1d having a substantially rectangular cross section. The horizontal holes 1e formed in the side portions 1b, 1b on both sides are not opposed to each other but are offset from each other. That is, the positions of the horizontal holes 1e are set so that the horizontal hole 1e of one side portion 1b is not located at the horizontal position of the horizontal hole 1e of the other side portion 1b. The horizontal holes 1e can be formed, for example, by punching using a punching tool when molding the gasket 1.
[0022] Furthermore, the gasket 1 has a surface layer 1f on the surface portion 1c, which is made of a material different from the material forming the rectangular tubular main body of the gasket 1. The rectangular tubular main body is made of, for example, ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM), and the surface layer 1f is made of, for example, chlorinated polyethylene resin (CPE) which can be selected in color. The main body and the surface layer 1f can also be integrally extrusion-formed. Note that the gasket 1 is not limited to an embodiment in which the main body and the surface layer 1f of the gasket 1 are made of different materials, and the gasket 1 with the surface layer 1f may be manufactured from chlorinated polyethylene resin (CPE) alone or ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM) alone.
[0023] As an example, the surface layer 1f is formed to be wider than the width of the surface portion 1c, which is one surface of the rectangular tubular main body, and both ends in the width direction of the surface layer 1f have a shape that protrudes somewhat to the outside. In addition, a part of the upper end side of the surface layer 1f is cut out to expose the upper end side of the surface portion 1c. In addition, the lower end side of the surface layer 1f protrudes downward from the lower end of the main body of the gasket 1, forming a drooping portion of a predetermined length. In addition, the width of the main body is formed to be somewhat wider than the width of a vertical joint J as a water-stopping portion described later.
[0024] An exterior wall panel unit 5 constituting the exterior wall of a building has a structure in which, for example, as shown in Fig. 2, a plurality of horizontally long exterior wall surface materials 51 are arranged one above the other and connected to each other by base materials 52. In the example shown in Fig. 2, the base materials 52 include a plurality of vertical furring strips 52a made of shaped steel.
[0025] The exterior wall surface material 51 is, for example, a metal sandwich panel in which a heat insulating material 51a is sandwiched between steel plates 51b and 51c, as shown in Figures 3(A) and 3(B). When two exterior wall surface materials 51 are arranged one above the other, two recesses 51d formed on the upper end surface of the exterior wall surface material 51 located in the lower tier and long in the width direction fit into two protrusions 51e formed on the lower end surface of the exterior wall surface material 51 located in the upper tier, thereby combining the upper and lower exterior wall surface materials 51 so that they are not misaligned in the out-of-plane direction.
[0026] Moreover, each exterior wall surface material 51 is fixed to the vertical furring strips 52a by screws 51g screwed into a recessed portion located below the protruding portion 51e located on the outdoor side. Moreover, a waterstop portion 51f protrudes from the side portion of the exterior wall surface material 51 parallel to the wall surface of the exterior wall surface material 51. In the exterior wall surface materials 51 located above and below, for example, the upper end portion of the lower waterstop portion 51f is bent so as to protrude toward the indoor side, and the upper end portion of this lower waterstop portion 51f and the lower end portion of the upper waterstop portion 51f can overlap.
[0027] If a base assembly stand (not shown) is used, the exterior wall panel unit 5, in which the above-mentioned multiple exterior wall surface materials 51 are arranged vertically and connected with the base material 52, can be assembled at a location different from the exterior wall mounting location of the building frame to which the exterior wall panel unit 5 is to be attached. Then, this exterior wall panel unit 5 can be hoisted by a crane or the like and attached to the exterior wall mounting location of the building frame to construct the exterior wall.
[0028] The waterstop plate portions 51f are formed parallel to the wall surface of the exterior wall surface material 51 by bending the left and right ends of the steel plate 51b located on the outdoor side by approximately 90 degrees. The waterstop plate portions 51f on both the left and right sides of each exterior wall surface material 51 are formed at slightly different distances from the outdoor wall surface, so that when the waterstop plate portions 51f of the left and right exterior wall surface materials 51 overlap, there is less likely to be a difference in the amount of protrusion of the exterior wall surfaces of the left and right exterior wall surface materials 51.
[0029] As shown in Fig. 4, the gasket 1 is attached to the outdoor side of the waterstop plate portion 51f located on the outdoor side. Specifically, the gasket 1 is attached with an adhesive to the outdoor side of the waterstop plate portion 51f located on the outdoor side of the waterstop plate portion 51f of the adjacent exterior wall panel unit 5 among the waterstop plate portions 51f on both sides of the exterior wall panel unit 5, and to the side plate portion connected to the waterstop plate portion 51f. In addition, the gasket 1 is arranged with its longitudinal direction vertically, spanning the waterstop plate portions 51f of the multiple exterior wall surface materials 51 constituting the exterior wall panel unit 5, with a length from near the upper end to near the lower end of the exterior wall panel unit 5.
[0030] In this embodiment, as shown in Figs. 5 and 6, the screw 3 inserted from the horizontal hole 1e of one side surface portion 1b of the gasket 1 penetrates the other side surface portion 1b and is screwed into the side surface plate portion forming the vertical joint J with which the other side surface portion 1b contacts. The screw 3 can be screwed in when the gasket 1 is attached to the outdoor side surface of the waterstop plate portion 51f and the side surface plate portion connected to the waterstop plate portion 51f with an adhesive as described above. As an example, the horizontal hole portion 1e may be spaced apart so that there are two horizontal holes for one exterior wall surface material 51. The horizontal hole portion 1e is positioned so that it is not located in the horizontal joint formed between the exterior wall surface materials 51 arranged vertically and the horizontal joint formed between the exterior wall panel units 5 arranged vertically.
[0031] When the gasket 1 is attached in advance with an adhesive to the outdoor side surface of the waterstop plate portion 51f of the exterior wall panel unit 5 as described above, the gasket 1 is positioned with its longitudinal direction vertical in the vertical joint J that serves as the waterstop portion of the exterior wall panel unit 5 formed by adjoining the exterior wall panel units 5 on the left and right. Note that in this embodiment, as described above, the gasket 1 is also attached with an adhesive to the side panel portion that forms the vertical joint J with which the side portion 1b comes into contact.
[0032] Furthermore, in the joint structure of this embodiment, as shown in Figs. 7 and 8, a short gasket 2 having, for example, a circular vertical hole 2a communicating with the cavity 1d is interposed between the upper and lower gaskets 1, 1 attached to the vertical joint J of the exterior wall panel units 5 located above and below. The short gasket 2 is made of, for example, ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM) and has an outer shape that is substantially the same rectangular as the main body of the gasket 1. The short gasket 2 may be attached in advance to the upper end of the main body of the gasket 1 of the exterior wall panel unit 5 located below. In addition, the short gasket 2 has a height (thickness) that allows it to be in close contact with the lower end of the main body of the gasket 1 of the exterior wall panel unit 5 located above. In addition, the above-mentioned hanging portion of the surface layer 1f of the gasket 1 of the exterior wall panel unit 5 located above covers the front side of the short gasket 2, making it possible to visually connect the upper and lower gaskets 1, 1, thereby improving the aesthetic appearance of the exterior wall.
[0033] The gasket 1 described above can, for example, guide water that has entered between the vertical joint J (water-stopping portion) of the exterior wall panel unit 5 and the side surface portion 1b from the horizontal hole portion 1e to the hollow portion 1d and drain below the hollow portion 1d, thereby preventing the water from flowing around to the back side of the gasket 1 and exhibiting high water-stopping performance. In addition, the gasket 1 can be bonded to the vertical joint J, which is the water-stopping portion, over a wide surface formed by the back surface portion 1a and the side surface portions 1b, 1b on both sides, so that the shifting movement of the gasket 1, that is, the shifting movement of the gasket 1 when joining two exterior wall panel units 5 adjacent to each other on the left and right, can be prevented. In addition, since the gasket 1 has a hollow shape having a hollow portion 1d communicating in the longitudinal direction, a drainage path is secured by the hollow portion 1d even in a portion where a horizontal joint exists between the upper and lower exterior wall surface materials 51, 51.
[0034] In addition, in the gasket 1, the horizontal holes 1e are formed in the side surface portions 1b, 1b on both sides so as to be offset from each other and not opposed to each other, so that a screw 3 can be inserted into the hollow portion 1d from the horizontal hole 1e of one side surface portion 1b of the gasket 1 and this screw 3 can be passed through the other side surface portion 1b and screwed into the side plate portion of the exterior wall panel unit 5 forming the vertical joint J, which is the water-stopping portion where the other side surface portion 1b contacts, thereby further suppressing the shifting movement of the gasket 1 when joining two adjacent exterior wall panel units 5 on the left and right. As described above, although the side surface portion 1b of the gasket 1 cannot be fastened by the screw 3 to the vertical joint J, which is the water-stopping portion, the horizontal holes 1e may be formed in the side surface portions 1b, 1b on both sides so as to be opposed to each other.
[0035] Furthermore, if the gasket 1 has a surface layer 1f made of a material such as chlorinated polyethylene resin (CPE) that allows for a selection of colors, it becomes easy to give this surface layer 1f a color or pattern that matches the color tone of the exterior wall panel unit 5.
[0036] Furthermore, in the above exterior wall joint structure, a short gasket 2 is installed between the upper and lower gaskets 1, 1 attached to the vertical joints J of the exterior wall panel units 5 located above and below, so that the upper and lower gaskets 1, 1 attached to the vertical joints J of the exterior wall panel units 5, 5 located above and below are connected without any gaps by the short gasket 2, allowing proper drainage by the upper and lower gaskets 1, 1.
[0037] As shown in FIG. 9, a cylindrical guide member 21 that fits into the hollow portion 1d of the gasket 1 may be attached to the vertical hole portion 2a of the short gasket 2. This allows the cylindrical guide member 21 to be inserted into the hollow portion 1d to facilitate the connection of the upper and lower gaskets 1, 1. A hole portion 21a may be provided on the peripheral surface of the cylindrical guide member 21 to guide water from the peripheral surface side into the cylindrical guide member 21. As shown in this figure, the gasket 1 may have an insertion portion 1g that is positioned opposite the back surface portion 1a and into which a waterstop plate portion 51f serving as a member of the waterstop portion is inserted between the back surface portion 1a. This allows water to be stopped on the back surface side of the waterstop plate portion 51f serving as a member of the waterstop portion.
[0038] The gasket 1 may be configured only by the main body portion without the surface layer portion 1f, and the entire surface portion 1c may be exposed to the outdoors as shown in FIG. 10(a). Also, as shown in FIGS. 10(b), (c), and (d), the gasket 1 may have a protrusion 1h that blocks the intrusion of water into the back surface portion 1a at a position closer to the back surface portion 1a than the horizontal hole portion 1e. In this way, the protrusion 1h can suppress the intrusion of water into the back surface portion 1a, and can also guide the water to the horizontal hole portion 1e. Even if a gap occurs between the side surface portion 1b and the vertical joint J due to construction errors, aging, etc., the protrusion 1h can block the gap and suppress the intrusion of water into the back surface portion 1a. It is preferable that the protrusion 1h is continuously located over the entire length of the gasket 1 in the longitudinal direction.
[0039] In the above example, the exterior wall joint structure has the gasket 1 attached to the vertical joint J, which serves as the water-stopping point between adjacent exterior wall panel units 5 on the left and right. However, the exterior wall joint structure can also be constructed using exterior wall surface material 51 with gasket 1 attached, by using a construction method in which exterior wall surface material 51 is attached to the building structure one piece at a time using ordinary scaffolding or aerial work vehicle.
[0040] Although the embodiment of the present invention has been described above with reference to the drawings, the present invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment. Various modifications and variations can be made to the illustrated embodiment within the same scope as the present invention or within an equivalent scope. [Explanation of symbols]
