Abstract

To provide a liquid discharge head that can remove bubbles generated between a discharge port surface and protective tape.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge head 11 is affixed with protective tape 12 so as to block a discharge port 3. The protective tape 12 is constituted of at least a substrate 20 and an adhesive agent 19. A slit 13 is formed in the adhesive agent 19 to an end of the protective tape 12.
