Abstract

To provide an electronic apparatus that detects the orientation of an operation panel at a relatively low cost.SOLUTION: An operation panel is rotatably supported relative to a main body of an electronic apparatus. A panel orientation detection unit 33 in the operation panel includes: a coil 33a; an oscillator circuit 41 that generates a signal by oscillating at a frequency corresponding to an inductance of the coil 33a; a frequency detector 42 that detects the frequency of the signal; and a panel orientation identification unit 43 that identifies, on the basis of the detected frequency, the orientation of the operation panel. On the other hand, the main body 1a includes at least one orientation identification member 33c having a magnetic property. The orientation identification member 33c is provided in a position corresponding to a position where the coil 33a is located when the operation panel 11 is rotated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
