Abstract
To provide a resistance welder capable of preventing damaging of a base material or an electrode.SOLUTION: A current value and energization time between a first electrode 41 and a second electrode 42 when a workpiece W which is a base material to be welded is welded and the limit temperature of the first electrode 41 within the energization time are set as energization conditions. A control unit 10 controls a power supply unit 20 to supply current of the current value set for only the energization time between the first electrode 41 and the when second electrode 42 when the temperature of the first electrode 41 does not reach the limit temperature measured by a radiation thermometer 60 within the energization time during welding of the workpiece W in accordance with a preset first energization condition. The control unit 10 controls a power supply unit 20 to, when the temperature of the first electrode 41 reaches the limit temperature, change to welding based on a second energization condition if the second energization condition subsequent to the first energization condition is set at the time of reaching the limit temperature, and stop energization if the second energization condition is not set.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
