Abstract

To provide an IC chip that improves responsiveness by utilizing a period between a power-on reset and an external reset.SOLUTION: An IC chip includes a power-on reset unit, an external reset unit, a command processing unit, and a preprocessing unit. The power-on reset unit executes a power-on reset for resetting an internal state to a predetermined initial state when power is applied from an external apparatus. The external reset unit executes, when a reset signal is received from the external apparatus and predetermined waiting time has elapsed after a power-on reset, an external reset that sets an internal state to a predetermined reset state. The command processing unit executes predetermined command processing in response to a command received from the external apparatus after the external reset. The pre-processing unit executes, after the power-on reset and before the external reset, a predetermined pre-processing that is executed before the command processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
