Operation method for rotary kiln and thermal treatment device

Abstract

To provide an operation method for a rotary kiln capable of heating a material located upstream of an addition portion of an additive in a conveyance direction of the material in the rotary kiln when adding the additive in the middle of the rotary kiln.SOLUTION: A scoop feeder is provided between both ends in a longitudinal direction of a rotary kiln. An operation method for the rotary kiln includes: an additive input process of inputting an additive to a material in the rotary kiln via the scoop feeder; and a heating process of irradiating and heating at least part of the material located upstream of the scoop feeder in a conveyance path of the material in the rotary kiln with microwaves.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
