Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a ceiling air blower. [Background technology]

[0002] In vehicles such as automobiles, in order to distribute the conditioned air blown out from the air conditioner evenly inside the vehicle cabin, it is conceivable to place a ceiling fan inside the vehicle cabin as shown in Patent Document 1. Taking into consideration that the conditioned air blown out from the air conditioner tends to be biased toward the front part of the vehicle cabin, this ceiling fan is designed to distribute the air in the front part of the vehicle cabin toward the rear part of the vehicle cabin.

[0003] The ceiling blower includes a fan, a duct, a fan case, and a blowing body. The fan case houses the fan and the duct and is fixed to the blowing body. The fan is connected to the duct, and the duct is connected to the blowing body. Such a ceiling blower is attached to the ceiling of the vehicle cabin. The ceiling blower draws in air from the front part of the vehicle cabin by the fan. The drawn-in air is then sent to the blowing body via the duct and then blown out from the blowing body to the rear part of the vehicle cabin.

[0004] Furthermore, components such as a monitor for the rear seats may be attached to the ceiling of the vehicle interior, and in order to secure space for attaching such components to the ceiling, it is possible to configure the ceiling blower as follows: That is, the duct and the blowing body are fixed in advance to a position on the ceiling of the vehicle interior that does not interfere with the above-mentioned components, as separate components from the ceiling blower. Then, when attaching the ceiling blower consisting of the fan and the fan case to the ceiling, the fan is connected to the duct fixed to the ceiling. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0005] [Patent Document 1] International Publication No. 2013 / 145172 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0006] In the ceiling blower device, which is made up of a fan and a fan case, the fan is housed inside the fan case, so it is difficult to properly connect the fan of the device to a duct fixed to the ceiling while mounting the ceiling blower device to the ceiling, because there is no space available for the connection. [Means for solving the problem]

[0007] The means for solving the above problems and their effects will be described below. The ceiling blower device that solves the above problem can be attached to a roof panel inside a vehicle cabin, and after sucking in air from inside the vehicle cabin with a fan, sends the air to another location inside the vehicle cabin via a duct fixed to the roof panel. The device includes a fan case that houses the fan, and a joint that is housed together with the fan in the fan case and connected to the fan. The fan case can be attached to the roof panel. The joint has a joint side opening that is connected to a duct side opening of the duct when the fan case is attached to the roof panel. The joint side opening has a shape corresponding to the duct side opening, and is formed so as to be inclined with respect to the attachment direction of the fan case to the roof panel. The joint side opening has a joint side flange formed to surround the joint side opening, corresponding to the duct side flange formed in the duct side opening.

[0008] According to the above-mentioned configuration, the fan and the joint are housed in the fan case. By attaching this fan case to the interior side of the roof panel, a joint-side opening of the joint in the fan case is connected to a duct-side opening of the duct fixed to the roof panel.

[0009] Specifically, the joint-side opening and the duct-side opening have corresponding shapes and are formed to be inclined with respect to the attachment direction of the fan case to the roof panel. Furthermore, the joint-side opening and the duct-side opening are formed with corresponding joint-side flanges and duct-side flanges. Then, when the fan case approaches the roof panel inside the vehicle cabin and is attached to the roof panel, the joint-side opening of the joint housed in the fan case moves relative to the duct-side opening of the duct fixed to the roof panel as follows.

[0010] That is, the joint side opening and the joint side flange are positioned corresponding to the duct side opening and the duct side flange, and are pressed toward the duct side opening and the duct side flange. As a result, the joint side opening of the joint inside the fan case is connected to the duct side opening of the duct fixed to the roof panel. In this way, simply by attaching the fan case containing the fan and joint therein to the roof panel, the joint side opening can be properly connected to the duct side opening. In other words, even if there is no working space inside the fan case to connect the joint side opening to the duct side opening, the joint side opening can be properly connected to the duct side opening. [Diagram 5] 5 is a cross-sectional view showing the ceiling blower device as viewed in the direction of arrow VV in FIG. 4. [Figure 6]FIG. 3 is an enlarged perspective view of the joint of FIG. 2. [Figure 7] 4 is a perspective view showing the duct in FIG. 3, viewed from below, around a duct-side opening portion. FIG. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0012] Hereinafter, one embodiment of a ceiling air blower will be described with reference to Figs. FIG. 1 shows an enlarged view of the vicinity of a roof panel 12 in a passenger compartment 11 of a vehicle such as an automobile. A roof head lining 13, which is an interior part of the passenger compartment 11, is provided at a position closer to the passenger compartment 11 than the roof panel 12. A hole 14 is formed in the roof head lining 13. The hole 14 is for attaching a ceiling blower 15 to the roof panel 12 inside the passenger compartment 11. The ceiling blower 15 is for sending air inside the passenger compartment 11 from the front side to the rear side. In FIG. 1, the right side is the front side of the passenger compartment 11, and the left side is the rear side of the passenger compartment 11.

[0013] <Outline of the structure of the ceiling blower 15> Fig. 2 shows ceiling blower 15 of Fig. 1 as viewed diagonally from above. As can be seen from Fig. 2, ceiling blower 15 includes fan 16, fan case 17, and joint 18. Fan case 17 houses fan 16 and joint 18. Fan case 17 includes bracket 19 for fixing fan 16. Fan 16 is fixed to bracket 19 of fan case 17. The joint 18 is connected to fan 16.

[0014] As shown in FIG. 1, the fan case 17 can be attached to the roof panel 12 through a hole 14 in the roof head lining 13. By attaching the fan case 17 to the roof panel 12 in this manner, the ceiling blower 15 is attached to the roof panel 12. The fan case 17 has claws 21, 22 that can be hooked onto the roof head lining 13 when the fan case 17 is attached to the roof panel 12 through the hole 14 in the roof head lining 13. The claw 21 is formed at the front end of the fan case 17, more specifically, at the front end of the bracket 19. The front ends of the fan case 17 and the bracket 19 are the left ends in FIG. 1. The claw 21 is formed at the rear end of the fan case 17, i.e., the right end in FIG. 1.

[0015] When the fan case 17 of the ceiling blower 15 is attached to the roof panel 12, a joint 18 inside the fan case 17 is connected to a duct 20 fixed to the roof panel 12. More specifically, the joint 18 is formed with a joint-side opening 18a that is connected to a duct-side opening 20a of the duct 20 when the fan case 17 is attached to the roof panel 12. The duct 20 is for sending air from the front side to the rear side of the vehicle interior 11, and is disposed between the roof panel 12 and the roof head lining 13. A hole 14 in the roof head lining 13 is formed at a position corresponding to the duct-side opening 20a.

[0016] 3 shows ceiling blower 15 viewed from diagonally above when joint 18 is connected to duct 20. An inlet 23 is formed at the front end of fan case 17 in ceiling blower 15 for drawing air outside fan case 17 into fan case 17. When fan 16 of ceiling blower 15 is operated, air within vehicle interior 11 is drawn into fan 16 through inlet 23, as shown by the dashed-dotted arrow in FIG. 1, and the drawn air is then sent to duct 20 via joint 18.

[0017] <Arrangement of duct 20 in vehicle compartment 11> FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram showing the ceiling blower 15 and the duct 20 in the vehicle interior 11 as viewed from above. As can be seen from FIG. 4, an outlet 24 of the air conditioner in the vehicle is located at the front of the vehicle interior 11. The duct 20 extends from the ceiling blower 15 to the rear side of the vehicle interior 11 and is connected to an outlet 25 located at the rear of the vehicle interior 11. The conditioned air from the air conditioner is blown out from the outlet 24 into the vehicle interior 11. The air in the vehicle interior 11 is sent to the duct 20 by the ceiling blower 15 so that the conditioned air is not biased toward the front of the vehicle interior 11. The air sent from the ceiling blower 15 to the duct 20 passes through the duct 20 and is discharged from the outlet 25 to the rear of the vehicle interior 11.

[0018] <Mounting structure of ceiling blower 15 to roof panel 12> Fig. 5 shows the ceiling blower 15 as viewed from the direction of the arrow VV in Fig. 4. As can be seen from Fig. 5, the roof panel 12 is provided with a bracket 12a for mounting the ceiling blower 15. The fan case 17 of the ceiling blower 15 is formed with two fixing parts 26 that protrude toward the bracket 12a. The two fixing parts 26 are positioned at a set distance from each other in the left-right direction in Fig. 5, which is the width direction of the vehicle.

[0019] The fan case 17 of the ceiling blower 15 is inserted into the hole 14 of the roof head lining 13 toward the roof panel 12. This positions the fixing part 26 in correspondence with the bracket 12a. The fixing part 26 is then fixed to the bracket 12a with a bolt 27, whereby the ceiling blower 15 is attached to the bracket 12a of the roof panel 12.

[0020] Positioning side walls 28 are formed on the outer sides of fan case 17 in the width direction of the vehicle, i.e., the left-right direction in Figure 5. Side walls 28 abut against the inner surfaces of hole 14 when fan case 17 is inserted into hole 14, thereby positioning fan case 17 in the width direction of the vehicle.

[0021] <Details of the joint side opening 18a and the duct side opening 20a> Fig. 6 shows an enlarged view of the joint 18 in Fig. 2. Fig. 7 shows the duct side opening 20a and its surroundings in the duct 20 in Fig. 3 as viewed from below. As can be seen from Figs. 6 and 7, the joint side opening 18a has a shape corresponding to the duct side opening 20a. More specifically, the opening cross sections of the joint side opening 18a and the duct side opening 20a are formed to be rectangular. The joint side opening 18a and the duct side opening 20a are formed to be inclined with respect to the mounting direction of the fan case 17 to the roof panel 12 shown in Fig. 1, i.e., the direction of the arrow Y1 in Fig. 1.

[0022] A joint side flange 29 is formed in the joint side opening 18a shown in Fig. 6 so as to surround the joint side opening 18a, corresponding to the duct side flange 30 formed in the duct side opening 20a shown in Fig. 7. The duct side flange 30 is also formed so as to surround the duct side opening 20a, similar to the joint side flange 29. The joint side flange 29 and the duct side flange 30 include first parallel pieces 29a, 30a, second parallel pieces 29b, 30b, first inclined pieces 29c, 30c, and second inclined pieces 29d, 30d.

[0023] The first parallel piece 29a of the joint side flange 29 extends parallel to the roof panel 12 when the fan case 17 is attached to the roof panel 12. The second parallel piece 29b of the joint side flange 29 extends parallel to the first parallel piece 29a and the roof panel 12, at a position farther from the roof panel 12 than the first parallel piece 29a, when the fan case 17 is attached to the roof panel 12. The first inclined piece 29c and the second inclined piece 29d of the joint side flange 29 connect corresponding ends of the first parallel piece 29a and the second parallel piece 29b, and extend at an angle to the attachment direction of the fan case 17 to the roof panel 12, i.e., the direction of arrow Y1 in FIG. 1.

[0024] The side of the joint side opening 18a corresponding to the second parallel piece 29b is longer than the side of the joint side opening 18a corresponding to the first parallel piece 29a. Therefore, the second parallel piece 29b is longer than the first parallel piece 29a. The first inclined piece 29c of the joint side opening 18a connects one end of the first parallel piece 29a and the second parallel piece 29b in the longitudinal direction. The second inclined piece 29d of the joint side opening 18a connects the other end of the first parallel piece 29a and the second parallel piece 29b in the longitudinal direction. The first inclined piece 29c and the second inclined piece 29d are inclined so as to be located in a direction from the opening end of the joint side opening 18a toward the inner back side of the joint side opening 18a as they approach the tip in the protruding direction from the joint side opening 18a.

[0025] The first parallel piece 30a, the second parallel piece 30b, the first inclined piece 30c, and the second inclined piece 30d of the duct side flange 30 shown in Fig. 7 are formed in shapes corresponding to the first parallel piece 29a, the second parallel piece 29b, the first inclined piece 29c, and the second inclined piece 29d of the joint side flange 29 shown in Fig. 6. However, the second parallel piece 29b of the joint side flange 29 is formed so as to have a step 31 with respect to the opening end of the joint side opening 18a in the attachment direction of the fan case 17 to the roof panel 12, i.e., the direction of arrow Y1 in Fig. 1, as shown in Fig. 1.

[0026] 1, an elastic material 32 of a specified thickness made of a material such as sponge is attached to the surface of the joint side flange 29 facing the duct side flange 30 as shown by the two-dot chain line. The elastic material 32 is attached to the surface so as to cover the entire first parallel piece 29a, the second parallel piece 29b, the first inclined piece 29c, and the second inclined piece 29d of the joint side flange 29. When the joint side opening 18a is connected to the duct side opening 20a, the elastic material 32 is positioned between the joint side flange 29 and the duct side flange 30 and is crushed as shown by the solid line.

[0027] <Work for attaching the ceiling blower 15 to the roof panel 12> As shown in Fig. 1, when the ceiling blower 15 is attached to the roof panel 12 inside the vehicle compartment 11, the fan case 17 of the ceiling blower 15 is inserted into the hole 14 of the roof head lining 13. At this time, it becomes possible to abut the second parallel piece 30b of the duct side flange 30 at the duct side opening 20a against the location of the joint side opening 18a that corresponds to the step 31. By abutting the second parallel piece 30b against the location of the joint side opening 18a that corresponds to the step 31 in this way, it is possible to check whether the position of the joint side opening 18a relative to the duct side opening 20a is appropriate, in other words, whether the two are positioned opposite each other.

[0028] When fan case 17 is inserted into hole 14 as described above, claws 21, 22 of fan case 17 are hooked onto roof head lining 13, thereby temporarily fixing fan case 17 so that it does not fall down. Furthermore, when fan case 17 is inserted into hole 14, side wall 28 of fan case 17 abuts on the inner surface of hole 14 as shown in FIG. 5, thereby positioning fan case 17 in the width direction of the vehicle. At this time, joint side opening 18a and duct side opening 20a shown in FIG. 1 are positioned opposite each other. In this state, fixing portion 26 of fan case 17 is fixed to roof panel 12 with bolts 27, thereby attaching ceiling blower 15 to roof panel 12.

[0029] Since the joint 18 is housed in the fan case 17, the joint side opening 18a and the duct side opening 20a are hidden by the fan case 17 and cannot be seen. However, when the fan case 17 is attached to the roof panel 12, the joint side opening 18a and the duct side opening 20a are positioned opposite each other. Therefore, even if the joint side opening 18a and the duct side opening 20a are hidden by the fan case 17 and cannot be seen, the joint side opening 18a can be connected to the duct side opening 20a as the fan case 17 is attached. Also, at this time, the expandable member 32 located between the joint side flange 29 and the duct side flange 30 is crushed from the state shown by the two-dot chain line in FIG. 1 to the state shown by the solid line.

[0030] Next, the effects of the ceiling air blower 15 of this embodiment will be described. (1) The fan 16 and joint 18 are housed in fan case 17 of the ceiling blower 15. By attaching this fan case 17 to the roof panel 12 inside the vehicle compartment 11, a joint side opening 18a of the joint 18 inside the fan case 17 is connected to a duct side opening 20a of a duct 20 fixed to the roof panel 12.

[0031] More specifically, the joint side opening 18a and the duct side opening 20a have shapes that correspond to each other, and are formed to be inclined with respect to the attachment direction of the fan case 17 to the roof panel 12, i.e., the direction of arrow Y1 in Figure 1. Furthermore, the joint side opening 18a and the duct side opening 20a are formed with a joint side flange 29 and a duct side flange 30 that have shapes that correspond to each other. Then, when the fan case 17 approaches the roof panel 12 inside the vehicle compartment 11 and is attached to the roof panel 12, the joint side opening 18a located inside the fan case 17 moves relative to the duct side opening 20a of the duct 20 as follows.

[0032] That is, the joint side opening 18a and the joint side flange 29 are positioned corresponding to the duct side opening 20a and the duct side flange 30, and are pressed toward the duct side opening 20a and the duct side flange 30. As a result, the joint side opening 18a of the joint 18 in the fan case 17 is connected to the duct side opening 20a of the duct 20 fixed to the roof panel 12. In this manner, the joint side opening 18a can be properly connected to the duct side opening 20a simply by attaching the fan case 17, in which the fan 16 and the joint 18 are housed, to the roof panel 12. In other words, even if there is no working space in the fan case 17 for connecting the joint side opening 18a to the duct side opening 20a, the joint side opening 18a can be properly connected to the duct side opening 20a.

[0033] (2) Due to variations in the fixed position of the duct 20 relative to the roof panel 12, the position of the duct side opening 20a may vary in the front-rear, left-right, and up-down directions of the vehicle. If such variations occur, when the fan case 17 is attached to the roof panel 12, there is a possibility that the relative positions of the joint side opening 18a and the duct side opening 20a may be shifted. However, when the joint side opening 18a is connected to the duct side opening 20a, an elastic material 32 of a set thickness is positioned between the joint side flange 29 and the duct side flange 30. Therefore, when a shift occurs in the relative positions of the joint side opening 18a and the duct side opening 20a, the elastic material 32 can suppress air leakage from between the joint side opening 18a and the duct side opening 20a.

[0034] (3) When the fan case 17 is attached to the roof panel 12, the first parallel piece 29a and the second parallel piece 29b of the joint side flange 29 are parallel to the roof panel 12. Furthermore, the first parallel piece 30a and the second parallel piece 30b of the duct side flange 30 are formed into shapes corresponding to the first parallel piece 29a and the second parallel piece 29b of the joint side flange 29. This makes it possible to keep the protrusion of the first parallel piece 29a and the second parallel piece 29b from the joint side opening 18a in the attachment direction of the fan case 17 to the roof panel 12 small. This eliminates the need to provide space in the fan case 17 and the roof panel 12 to accommodate such protrusion.

[0035] (4) At the joint side opening 18a, one side corresponding to the second parallel piece 29b of the joint side flange 29 is longer than one side corresponding to the first parallel piece 29a. As a result, the duct side opening 20a and the duct side flange 30 also have shapes corresponding to the joint side opening 18a and the joint side flange 29. This makes it easier to ensure the necessary air flow cross-sectional area at the point after the branch when the duct 20 is branched into two downstream of the duct side opening 20a.

[0036] (5) The second parallel piece 29b of the joint-side flange 29 is formed so that a step 31 is formed with respect to the opening end of the joint-side opening 18a in the mounting direction of the fan case 17 to the roof panel 12. This makes it possible to abut the duct-side opening 20a against a location on the joint-side opening 18a that corresponds to the step 31 when mounting the fan case 17 to the roof panel 12. By abutting the duct-side opening 20a against a location that corresponds to the step 31 in this way, it is possible to check whether the position of the joint-side opening 18a relative to the duct-side opening 20a is appropriate when mounting the fan case 17 to the roof panel 12.

[0037] (6) The first inclined piece 29c and the second inclined piece 29d of the joint side flange 29 are inclined so that the closer to the tip in the protruding direction from the joint side opening 18a, the closer to the tip is located in a direction from the opening end of the joint side opening 18a toward the inner back side of the joint side opening 18a. Also, the first inclined piece 30c and the second inclined piece 30d of the duct side flange 30 are formed in a shape corresponding to the first inclined piece 29c and the second inclined piece 29d of the joint side flange 29. Therefore, when the fan case 17 is attached to the roof panel 12, by abutting the first inclined piece 29c and the second inclined piece 29d against the first inclined piece 30c and the second inclined piece 30d, the joint side opening 18a is less likely to shift in the width direction of the duct 20 with respect to the duct side opening 20a.

[0038] (7) The duct 20 fixed to the roof panel 12 is located between the roof head lining 13, which is disposed closer to the interior of the vehicle compartment 11 than the roof panel 12, and the roof panel 12. A hole 14 for attaching the fan case 17 to the roof panel 12 is formed in the roof head lining 13 at a position corresponding to the duct side opening 20a. The fan case 17 has claws 21, 22 that can be hooked to the roof head lining 13 when the fan case 17 is attached to the roof panel 12 through the hole 14 of the roof head lining 13. Therefore, when the fan case 17 is attached to the roof panel 12 through the hole 14 of the roof head lining 13, the claws 21, 22 of the fan case 17 can be hooked to the roof head lining 13 to temporarily secure the fan case 17 so that it does not fall down. Since the fan case 17 can be attached to the roof panel 12 after being temporarily secured in this manner, the installation work can be facilitated.

[0039] The above embodiment can be modified, for example, as follows: The above embodiment and the following modified examples can be combined with each other to the extent that no technical contradiction occurs. The fan case 17 does not necessarily have to include the claws 21, 22.

[0040] The first inclined piece 29c and the second inclined piece 29d are inclined so that the closer they are to the tip in the protruding direction from the joint side opening 18a, the closer they are to the direction from the opening end of the joint side opening 18a toward the inner back side of the joint side opening 18a. However, the first inclined piece 29c and the second inclined piece 29d do not necessarily need to be inclined as described above.

[0041] The step 31 at the joint 18 may be omitted. The second parallel piece 29b of the joint side flange 29 does not necessarily have to be longer than the first parallel piece 29a of the joint side flange 29. In addition, the side of the joint side opening 18a corresponding to the second parallel piece 29b does not necessarily have to be longer than the side of the joint side opening 18a corresponding to the first parallel piece 29a.

[0042] The first parallel piece 29a and the second parallel piece 29b of the joint side flange 29 do not necessarily have to be parallel to the roof panel 12. In this case, the first parallel piece 30a and the second parallel piece 30b of the duct side flange 30 are formed into shapes corresponding to the first parallel piece 29a and the second parallel piece 29b of the joint side flange 29. Furthermore, the roof panel 12 and the fan case 17 are formed so as to ensure space to accommodate these shape changes.

[0043] If there is no variation in the fixed position of the duct 20 relative to the roof panel 12, the elastic member 32 located between the joint side flange 29 and the duct side flange 30 can be omitted.

[0044] The duct 20 does not necessarily have to be bifurcated. Next, the technical concept that can be understood from the above embodiment will be described. (A) A ceiling air blowing device that can be attached to a roof panel inside a vehicle cabin, sucks in air from inside the vehicle cabin with a fan, and then sends the air to another location inside the vehicle cabin through a duct fixed to the roof panel, a fan case that houses the fan; and a joint that is housed together with the fan in the fan case and is connected to the fan, the fan case is attachable to the roof panel; the joint has a joint-side opening that is connected to a duct-side opening of the duct when the fan case is attached to the roof panel, the joint-side opening has a shape corresponding to the duct-side opening and is formed to be inclined with respect to a mounting direction of the fan case to the roof panel, A ceiling blower device in which a joint side flange is formed at the joint side opening so as to surround the joint side opening, in correspondence with a duct side flange formed at the duct side opening.

[0045] (B) A ceiling blower device as described in (A), wherein when the joint side opening is connected to the duct side opening, an elastic material of a determined thickness is positioned between the joint side flange and the duct side flange.

[0046] (C) The joint is formed so that the opening cross section of the joint side opening is rectangular, The joint side flange includes a first parallel piece, a second parallel piece, and an inclined piece, the first parallel piece extends parallel to the roof panel when the fan case is attached to the roof panel, the second parallel piece extends parallel to the first parallel piece and the roof panel at a position farther from the roof panel than the first parallel piece when the fan case is attached to the roof panel, A ceiling blower device as described in (A) or (B), wherein the inclined piece extends at an angle with respect to the mounting direction of the fan case to the roof panel by connecting corresponding ends of the first parallel piece and the second parallel piece.
