Abstract

To display information needed for registering contract information in a management server when a consumable used exclusively for a subscription service is mounted in place while use of the consumable is limited.SOLUTION: Provided is a printing device capable of communicating with a management server that manages printing devices contracted for a subscription service. The printing device comprises: display control means which, when a consumable used exclusively for the subscription service is mounted in place while use of the consumable is limited on the basis of the contract of the subscription service, displays information needed for registering contract information indicating that the contract is in effect in the management server in association with the printing device; reception means for receiving, from the management server, information indicating that the contract information has been registered in association with the printing device; and release means for releasing the use limit of the consumable when information is received that indicates that the contract information has been registered.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
