Abstract

To provide an electrode with the excellent rate characteristic in use for a battery.SOLUTION: A positive electrode includes a current collection foil, and an active material layer provided on a surface of the current collection foil and including an active material, a conductive auxiliary agent, and a binder. The active material layer includes a path through which an ion can pass from a surface side of the current collection foil to a surface opposite to the surface of the current collection foil. The mode of the tortuosity factor τ is 1.59 or less. The 50%-value of the count number of a conductive path of the tortuosity factor of the mode, which is smaller than the mode and the maximum value of the count number of the conductive path expressing the tortuosity factor expressing the mode is 1.52 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
