AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing work machine systems automatically switch from an active state to a standby state when unattended, leading to user annoyance and decreased usability, especially when the machine is held in a holder.

Method used

Incorporating a detection mechanism that prevents the work machine from automatically switching to the standby state when held in a holder, allowing the user to easily resume work without additional switching operations.

Benefits of technology

This configuration enhances user convenience by preventing unnecessary state transitions while the work machine is held, thus improving the overall usability of the system.

Abstract

To provide a technique that can improve usability of a work machine.SOLUTION: A work machine system comprises: a work machine which includes a work part, an electric motor, an operation part, a power connection part and a control part; a work machine holder which includes a case part and a fitting part; and a detection mechanism which detects whether the work machine is held by the work machine holder. The work machine can be switched between a first state, and a second state that a prescribed switching operation is required for the operation part for the purpose of switching to the first state. The control part can execute second state transition processing for switching the work machine from the first state to the second state when the prescribed condition is established. When it is detected by the detection mechanism that the work machine is not held by the work machine holder, the prescribed condition includes that the work machine's standing time becomes at least a first prescribed time. When it is detected by the detection mechanism that the work machine is held by the work machine holder, the prescribed condition includes that the work machine's standing time becomes at least a second prescribed time longer than the first prescribed time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
