[0075] (3-3) Compressive strength The compressive strength was measured using JIS K 7200. Specifically, [0] the temperature of liquid A and liquid B were adjusted to 10°C, and the liquids were stirred in a 1000 mL disposable cup and foamed in a foam bag of 200 mm x 200 mm x 300 mm. The foamed material was cut into a square with a bottom surface of 100 mm on one side and a thickness of 30 mm. Five samples of the same size were prepared and measured. The measurement results are shown in Table 1.
[0076] (4) Biomass content of polyurethane foam The biomass degree of the polyurethane foam was calculated using the formula (3) shown in the above embodiment. The calculation results are shown in Table 1.
[0077] 3.Results As shown in Table 1, in Examples 1-6, the polyol-containing composition contained polyol 1 (aromatic polyol derived from cashew nut shell liquid, product name: NX5285, biomass degree: 93%), and the biomass degree was 2.2%-20.3%. On the other hand, in Comparative Examples 1 and 2, the polyol-containing composition did not contain polyol 1, and the biomass degree was 0.0%.
[0078] As shown in Table 1, the burning distance of Examples 1, 5, and 6 was shorter than that of Comparative Examples 1 and 2, and the flame retardancy was excellent. In addition, the burning distance of Example 2 was about the same as that of Comparative Example 1, and Examples 3 and 4 were about the same as that of Comparative Example 2, and the flame retardancy was about the same. As shown in Table 1, the burning time of Examples 1 and 3-6 was shorter and more flame retardant than those of Comparative Examples 1 and 2. The burning distance of Example 2 was shorter and more flame retardant than that of Comparative Example 1. As described above, in Examples 1-6, by using the aromatic polyol (polyol represented by the above structural formulas (1) and (2)) of polyol 1, it was possible to exhibit flame retardancy equivalent to or better than that of a composition not using an aromatic polyol. Such good flame retardancy is believed to be due to the presence of aromatic rings and alkylene side chains in the aromatic polyol of polyol 1.
[0079] As shown in Table 1, the adhesive strength of Example 1 was greater than those of Comparative Examples 1 and 2. The adhesive strength of Example 2 was similar to that of Comparative Example 1. Also, the adhesive strength of Examples 3-6 was 41N-164N, which is sufficient for practical use. Therefore, even in the case of a configuration using aromatic polyol (polyol represented by the above structural formulas (1) and (2)) as a raw material, adhesive strength sufficient for practical use was obtained. Such good adhesive strength is believed to be due to the presence of alkylene side chains in the aromatic polyol of polyol 1.
[0080] 4. Effects of the embodiment According to the above examples, polyurethane foams having sufficient flame retardancy and adhesiveness for practical use were obtained by using aromatic polyols (polyols represented by the above structural formulas (1) and (2)) as raw materials. In particular, it was found that polyurethane foams having sufficient flame retardancy and adhesiveness for practical use could be obtained by using aromatic polyols derived from cashew nut shells, which are renewable resource materials.
[0081] The present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various modifications and variations are possible.
