Abstract

To improve usability in creating an integrated image obtained by integrating two scanned images of a specific document into one image.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus has: setting means that sets a layout method to be applied in creating an integrated image obtained by integrating two scanned images, which are obtained by scanning a specific document and correspond to two document surfaces, into one image; detection means that detects the position of the specific document placed on a document platen to be scanned; and notification means that notifies a user of a warning message when the position of the specific document detected by the detection means is different from the position of the specific document according to the layout method set by the setting means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
