Abstract

To provide a system and method for avoiding or eliminating interference between and realizing co-existence of a wireless local area network (WLAN) radio and a wireless personal area network (WPAN) radio.SOLUTION: In a wireless communication system, the method includes identifying some of punctured sub-channels in channels used in a WLAN to communicate with the WLAN radio, and instructing the WPAN radio over which of the sub-channels transmission and reception should be performed in order to reduce interference between the WPAN radio and communications between the WLAN radio and an access point or station in the WLAN.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
