Abstract

To suppress the standby power consumption of telephones.SOLUTION: The invention provides a private branch exchange connected to a power supply hub having a plurality of power supply ports, each of which supplies power to a telephone installed at each seat in a working space where multiple seats are arranged. The private branch exchange includes: an incoming call reception unit that receives an incoming call from a user communication terminal, the incoming call being provided with an identification number assigned to a telephone (specific telephone) which is installed at a seat and for which power should be turned ON; a specifying unit that specifies the port number of the power supply hub corresponding to the identification number received by the incoming call reception unit; and a transmission unit that transmits a command to supply power to the power supply port corresponding to the port number specified by the specifying unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
