Abstract

To provide a system for heating and cooling to meet the ever-increasing needs of hybrid, mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles, electrified mass transport, and residential and commercial structures for thermal management capable of providing cooling and heating.SOLUTION: A system includes: a. at least one closed circulating loop operably connected to and fluidly communicating with condenser, evaporator, and compressor components in a serial arrangement; and b. a heat transfer composition confined within the at least one closed circulating loop and comprising i. HFO-1234yf, ii. at least one of ethane (R170) and propane (R-290), iii. an HFO terpene stabilizer and iv. an optional lubricant, where the system is one of (A) a reversible cooling system, (B) reversible heating system, or (C) a heat pump system.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
