Abstract

To provide an image forming apparatus that can prevent the occurrence of transfer failure while reducing operating time.SOLUTION: A control unit can execute a printing operation, and a transfer voltage setting operation to determine transfer voltage in executing the printing operation. During execution of an adjustment operation, the control unit predicts the amount of charge of toner in a developing device, and determines the transfer voltage on the basis of the predicted toner charge amount and the value of resistance of a transfer member stored in advance in a storage unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
