Abstract

To provide a USB communication device that functions as a USB host while being capable of performing data communication during power supply.SOLUTION: A host wireless adapter 93 includes an optical LAN-USB protocol conversion unit 94 and a wireless USB host 95. A plug 60 is connected to the host wireless adapter 93, and a power line 88 and a ground line 89 are connected to a power supply unit to drive the optical LAN-USB protocol conversion unit 94 and the wireless USB host. An optical fiber 20' is connected to the optical LAN-USB protocol conversion unit. The optical LAN-USB protocol conversion unit converts a LAN signal, which is transmitted via the optical fiber 20' from a HUB of a distribution board through an outlet, according to the USB protocol and outputs the converted signal to the wireless USB host.
