Abstract

To provide an edge finishing device that can burr or chamfer an edge of a gear-shaped work-piece by a single program without using a PC.SOLUTION: An edge finishing device 100, which processes an edge 112a of a gear-shaped work-piece 112 using a tool 104, comprises a robot arm 108 that moves the tool and a robot control device 106 that controls motion of the robot arm by executing a robot control program 124. The robot control device 106 has: a track data generating device 118 that generates track data 126 showing a track on which the tool should move from inputted source data on a gear; a storing device 120 that stores a single edge processing program 128 for burring or chamfering included in the robot control program and a plurality of track data; and a program executing device 122 that executes the edge processing program while reading out the track data from the storing device 120.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
