Abstract

To grasp the deviation of the arrangement such as dispersibility and nonuniformity of objects in a tissue image.SOLUTION: Disclosed is an image analysis apparatus for analyzing the arrangement of objects in the tissue image of a composition. The image analysis apparatus comprises: an ideal convergence distance calculation unit 105 for calculating an ideal convergence distance showing a distance between the objects in an ideal state in the arrangement of the objects; a convergence calculation processing unit 104, regarding each of plural connection distances, for creating plural remaining groups of the objects that can be connected each other at each connection distance, and creating connection distance correlation information showing a correlation between the group number of the created remaining groups and the applicable connection distance; an imbalance index calculation unit 106 for calculating each imbalance index showing the deviation in the arrangement of the objects based on the ideal convergence distance and the connection distance correlation information; and an output unit 102 for outputting display data according to each imbalance index.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
