Abstract

To efficiently adjust the time period required for closing an opening by a lid.SOLUTION: A washing machine comprises: a washing machine main body; an opening which is provided at the top of the washing machine main body and communicates between the inside and outside of the washing machine main body; a lid opening or closing the opening; an energizing member energizing the lid in a direction to open the opening, an attenuation device which attenuates rotation of the lid in the direction to close the opening; and an adjustment member which adjusts the rotational speed of the lid in the direction closing the opening. The adjustment member has a lid weight adjustment member adjusting the weight of the lid and a torque adjustment member which is provided at a position different from that of the lid weight adjustment member and increases the rotational speed of the lid. The torque adjustment member is provided when the attenuation force of the attenuation device is equal to or more than specified force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
