Abstract

To prevent an image superimposed on a viewing region from obstructing viewing by a user.SOLUTION: An image display system 100 comprises: an image processing device 3 that determines that there is an abnormality in a projected image 6 being an image displayed on a windshield when a pixel density of specific pixels 7A having luminance gradation values equal to or greater than a reference gradation value is equal to or greater than a threshold, among pixels 7 constituting the projected image 6 that displays various information about a vehicle, and lowers the luminance gradation values of the specific pixels 7A constituting the projected image 6 to less than the reference gradation value when there is an abnormality in the projected image 6; and an image display device 4 that displays on the windshield the projected image 6 whose luminance gradation values have been lowered to less than the reference gradation value by the image processing device 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
