Gas separator and methane production system

Abstract

To provide a gas separator capable of concentrating, separating, and recovering a predetermined component from a gas containing a mixture of three or more components using only a separation membrane, without involving cooling or heating.SOLUTION: A gas separator includes: a housing 20 having an internal space; and a separation membrane complex 15 that is composed of a support 16 having two or more perforations 17a, 17b formed thereon and a plurality of separation membranes 18, 19 having different separation performances, which is formed on the support 16 so as to cover each of the perforations 17a, 17b; wherein the housing 20 has a first space 21 on the front side of the separation membrane composite 15, and a plurality of second spaces 22a, 22b on the back side of the separation membrane composite 15 that communicate with the perforated portions 17a, 17b, a mixed gas is supplied to the first space 21, the gas that has permeated each of the separation membranes 18 and 19 is discharged from each of the second spaces 22a, 22b, and the gas that does not permeate through each of the separation membranes 18, 19 is discharged from the first space 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
