Abstract

To provide a controller, a control method, and a program capable of preliminarily notifying an occupant of a peripheral situation of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A controller 100 includes: determination units 111, 112, and 113 that determine based on a peripheral situation of a vehicle whether the vehicle is traveling in a first area which is an expressway, whether a second area regarded as an important area for traffic safety measures exists in an advancing direction of the vehicle, and whether a third area where there is a high possibility that the vehicle may approach an object existing around the vehicle exists in the advancing direction of the vehicle; and a sound control unit 114 that changes a musical piece which is output from a loudspeaker 40 mounted on the vehicle on the basis of determination results. The musical piece includes a first musical piece that makes an occupant of the vehicle happy, a second musical piece that gives the occupant a tension, and a third musical piece that relaxes the occupant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
