Abstract

To enable the overall shape of defects generated in a created 3D model to be easily and accurately grasped.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus acquires a foreground image representing the foreground region of a video and a 3D model based on shape estimation using the foreground image. The image processing apparatus then projects the 3D model onto an imaging plane of an image capturing device used for shooting the video, and generates three-dimensional information of defects in the 3D model on the basis of the comparison results between the resulting projected image and the foreground image associated with the imaging device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
