Train operation support system

Abstract

To provide a train operation support system that can suppress an electricity load peak by dispersing departure timings for a plurality of trains that are on a rail in one substation section to start power-running.SOLUTION: A train operation support system, which provides information for supporting operation of a train in an electric railroad system to the train, is provided with a ground-based server apparatus that stores diagram information and an on-board device which has radio communication means and an information display device. The server apparatus and the on-board device are configured to perform information-communication wirelessly. The on-board device repeatedly transmits operation state-information representing an operation state of an own train including a waiting state to the server apparatus. When two or more trains are on a rail in an electricity supply section of one substation, the server apparatus transmits operation state-information on the other trains that are on the rail in the electricity supply section to the on-board devices of the train that is on the rail in the one electricity supply section. When receiving the operation state-information on the other trains from the serve apparatus, the on-board device displays, on the information display device, the received information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
