Abstract

To disclose a vehicle sun visor with improvements in functionality and aesthetic attraction for a vehicle interior.SOLUTION: A thin sun visor includes a frame having a rotation detent mechanism 402 which is accommodated in a hinge tube 212 and enables easy accurate rotational movement and reliable positioning. The frame is configured from two heat-deposited plastic frame half bodies, eliminates the need for a foamed polypropylene layer, and reduces a thickness. A sun visor 102 includes an integrated mirror made from an advanced material such as a gorilla glass or a polycarbonate, and an LED lamp 524 for illumination. A rotation detent mechanism 402 comprises a detent rod, a detent spring and a detent sub frame that provide a click operation for haptic feedback when the sun visor 102 arrives at a storage position. By design of the sun visor, axial adjustment and pivotal movement between the storage position and an operation position are enabled, thereby contributing to safety and comfortability in a vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
