Abstract

To provide a belt conveyor that comprises a conveyor belt and a chassis which cooperates therewith such that the conveyor belt is automatically tensed by being inserted into the chassis and thereby becomes ready for operation.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a belt conveyor (K) which extends in a conveying direction (X), a lateral direction (Y) extending orthogonally thereto, and a height direction (Z) extending orthogonally to both directions (X, Y), and the belt conveyor (K) includes a conveyor frame (T) which extends substantially in the conveying direction (X) and the lateral direction (Y), wherein the conveyor frame (T) has, in the conveying direction (X), a first end and a second end facing the first end, and the conveyor frame (T) has direction changing members (U1, U2), extending in the lateral direction (Y) respectively, at the first end and the second end, and at least one of both direction changing members (U1, U2) is preferably constituted as a knife edge.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
