Abstract
To suppress increase in dragging resistance due to vibration of an outside friction plate when a friction fastening device is in a release state.SOLUTION: A friction fastening device comprises a drum 12, and a plurality of outside friction plates 14 spline-engaged to an inner peripheral part of the drum 12 so as to be slidable in an axial direction of the drum 12 and prevented from rotating relative to the drum 12. At least some of spline teeth 16 of the drum 12 are designated as specific spline teeth 17 having a different shape from the other spline teeth 16. At least one of contact surfaces of the specific spline teeth 17 with which the outside friction plates 14 come into contact has an inclined groove 18 located in a portion where at least one of the outer friction plates 14 moves axially when transitioning from a fastened state to a released state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
