Abstract

To provide a synthetic resin container capable of suppressing crushing of an upper portion of a lower body portion.SOLUTION: In a bottle-shaped synthetic resin container 1, a body 30 has a waist portion 31, a cylindrical upper body portion 32 coaxial with the waist portion 31 and located between the waist portion 31 and a shoulder portion 20, and a cylindrical lower body portion 33 having a larger outer diameter than the upper body portion 32, the lower body portion 33 coaxially with the waist portion 31 and disposed between the waist portion 31 and a bottom portion 40, and a plurality of reinforcing circumferential grooves 33a disposed on the upper portion of the lower body portion 33 and extending circumferentially around the entire circumference. The uppermost reinforcing circumferential groove 33a of the reinforcing circumferential grooves 33a has the greatest depth, while the lowest reinforcing circumferential groove 33a has the shallowest depth. Furthermore, the depth of the lower reinforcing circumferential groove 33a adjacent to the upper reinforcing circumferential groove 33a is either the same as or shallower than the depth of the upper reinforcing circumferential groove 33a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
