Abstract
To provide a prismatic battery where pressure is less likely to concentrate on a corner of a case.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there is provided a prismatic battery which includes a rectangular case that has a first surface, a pair of second surfaces and a third surface facing the first surface, and a laminated electrode assembly that is housed inside the case. The laminated electrode assembly has a first electrode plate 24 and a second electrode plate. The first electrode plate 24 has an electrode active material layer 24a. The electrode active material layer 24a has a first region A1, a third region A3 and a second region A2 provided between the first region A1 and the third region A3. The electrode densities of the first region A1 and the third region A3 are each lower than the electrode density of the second region A2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
