Abstract

To enable reduction of the cleaning time of a metal mold while maintaining the quality of a casting.SOLUTION: A die-cast device 100 comprises a general-purpose metal mold 52, 62 and an exclusive metal mold 54, 64, so that a cleaner 30 can carry out cleaning of an exposed surface 53, 63 of the general-purpose metal mold 52, 62 removed of the exclusive metal mold 54, 64 upon an exchange of the exclusive metal mold 54, 64. The exposed surface 53, 63 includes a forming face 52A, 62A and a seat face 52B, 62B, the forming face 52A, 62A is to contact a casting 70 and the seat face 52B, 62B is for the exclusive metal mold 54, 64 to seat thereon. The cleaner 30 carries out cleaning of the forming face 52A, 62A until the percentage of remaining foreign matter R_co becomes a first threshold R_th1 or below. Also, the cleaner 30 carries out cleaning of the seat face 52B, 62B until the percentage of remaining foreign matter R_so becomes a second threshold R_th2 or below. The second threshold R_th2 is higher in the percentage of remaining foreign matter than the first threshold R_th1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
