Abstract

To provide a crown prediction method for a hot-rolled steel plate that can predict statistical information including variation of a crown of the hot-rolled steel plate.SOLUTION: There is provided a crown prediction method for a hot-rolled steel plate according to the present invention, the crown of the hot-rolled steel plate being on a hot-rolling line which includes a heating furnace that heats a slab, a roughing mill that roughly mills the heated slab to manufacture a roughly milled material and a finish rolling machine that finish-rolls the roughly milled material to manufacture a hot-rolled steel plate. The method includes a prediction step of predicting statistical information on the crown of the hot-rolled steel plate, using a crown prediction model learnt by Gaussian-process regression approach, which includes, as input data, one or more parameters selected from attribute information on the slab and one or more operational parameters selected from operational parameters of the finish rolling machine and includes, as output data, statistical information on the crown of the hot-rolled steel plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
