Resin composition and use thereof

Abstract

To provide a resin composition that has excellent creep resistance as well as excellent processability and is suitable for use as an interlayer film for laminated glass, a solar cell sealing material, or the like.SOLUTION: A resin composition contains 100 pts.mass of a modified polyvinyl acetal having a vinyl alcohol unit in an amount of 25 to 35 mol%, a vinyl ester unit in an amount of 0.1 to 2.0 mol%, and an unsaturated hydrocarbon monomer unit having a carbon number of 2 to 6 in an amount of 3 to 10 mol%, the modified polyvinyl acetal having a degree of polymerization of 500 to 3000, and 20 to 60 pts.mass of a plasticizer, wherein a creep elongation rate calculated by the following formula (1) is 140% or less. Creep elongation rate (%)=100×(B-A) / A (1), wherein, in formula (1), A and B are as follows. A: initial gauge length (40 mm) and B: gauge length after heating for 30 minutes (mm).SELECTED DRAWING: None
