Abstract

The suction assembly (1) comprises a main body (4), a dirt separating and collecting device (7), a suction motor, a handheld vacuum cleaner (2) including a gripping handle (6) having at least one retaining projection (37) protruding radially from an outer surface of the gripping handle (6), and a support base (3) configured to support the handheld vacuum cleaner (2) in a storage position, the support base (3) having two fastening members (34) configured to extend on either side of the gripping handle (6), and at least one of the two fastening members (34) is configured to fit under the at least one retaining projection (37) to support the gripping handle (6) when the handheld vacuum cleaner (2) is in the storage position.
