Abstract
The remote station includes a transceiver, a memory, and a control module. The memory is configured to store (i) a plurality of reference static routes for a vehicle passing through the intersection, and (ii) map data. The control module is configured to obtain road hazard information based on the reference static routes and the map data, determine whether the road hazard information affects one or more reference static routes for a vehicle passing through the intersection, update the one or more reference static routes based on the road hazard information, and broadcast, via the transceiver, a map message indicating the updated one or more reference static routes.
