A method for setting up a terminal device in relation to a user

Abstract

A method for setting up a terminal device (10) connected to a background system (30) in relation to a user, wherein the terminal device (10) is connected to a data exchange network (46) using a communication profile (TP) stored in a secure element (18), is proposed. The service platform (50) is connected to the background system (30) and at least one network operator (40) operating the data exchange network (46). The service platform (50) stores an authorization token (BT) for providing a communication profile (TP) belonging to the authorization token (BT). The authorization token (BT) is linked to a composite identifier (VK). The service platform (50) receives, from the background system (30), a composite identifier (VK) or a profile request representing the composite identifier (VK), and calculates an authorization token (BT) linked to the composite identifier (VK). Using the authorization token (BT), the service platform (50) loads, via the network operator (40), the communication profile (TP) belonging to the authorization token (BT) into the secure element (18) included in the terminal device (10), and accordingly, the terminal device (10) is set up to be connected to the data exchange network (46).
