Abstract

The present invention relates to a sound insulation device (1) for reducing sound transmission, comprising mechanical resonators (2) each having at least one vibrating mass (3) and a spring element (4), the mechanical resonators (2) being tuned to have at least one natural frequency in the corresponding frequency band, and the arrangement of the mechanical resonators (2) being configured to generate at least one stop band for wave propagation in the corresponding frequency band. Further, a sound insulation wall comprising at least one sound insulation device (1) will be described.
