Abstract

In an embodiment of the present invention, an end-to-end communication establishment method and system are proposed. Such a method includes: a step in which a source user equipment (UE) in a radio resource control connection state determines to establish an end-to-end sidelink with a target UE via a selected relay UE; a step in which the source UE transmits first request information for establishing an end-to-end sidelink between the source UE and the target UE to a base station, where the first request information includes at least any one of an SL-SRB list, a target UE identifier, a relay UE identifier, and an SL-DRB list; and a step in which the source UE receives first configuration information sent from the base station and establishes an end-to-end sidelink with the target UE via the selected relay UE based on the first configuration information.
