Abstract
An aerosol generating device according to one embodiment includes a body including a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, and a side surface between the first and second surfaces, the body including a mouthpiece end disposed on the first surface, an atomization region disposed within the body and connected to the mouthpiece end, a storage section connected to the atomization region for storing an aerosol-forming substrate, and a surface wave generating section connected to the atomization region for generating surface waves, the surface wave generating section including a piezoelectric substrate extending into the atomization region and a transducer disposed on the piezoelectric substrate, the transducer converting an electrical signal into a surface wave, the surface wave being provided to the atomization region, the transducer having a comb shape.
