Abstract

The present invention relates to a polarizing film, a manufacturing method thereof, a light guide lens, and a display device. The polarizing film includes a transparent substrate, a diffraction grating layer positioned on the transparent substrate, the diffraction grating layer including a dielectric diffraction grating and a metal layer periodically spaced along a direction parallel to the surface of the transparent substrate, the dielectric diffraction grating and the metal layer having the same thickness, and a protective layer covering the diffraction grating layer. The present invention provides a polarizing film with a novel structure, and by optimizing the structures of the diffraction grating layer and the protective layer, the optical properties of low absorption loss, a high extinction ratio, and a wide incident angle can be simultaneously achieved, making it advantageous for wide use. The present invention also relates to a manufacturing method of the polarizing film, and a light guide lens and a display device including the polarizing film.
