Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for assembling a rolling bearing (10) of a bearing mechanism (12) in a housing (14) having a first housing part (16) and a second housing part (18), in which a bearing seat (24) for the rolling bearing (10) is disposed on an inner surface (20) of the first housing part (16), and the method includes the following steps: preparing a bearing mechanism (12) having the rolling bearing (10); positioning the bearing mechanism (12) in the second housing part (18); preparing and positioning a shim ring (20) in the bearing seat (24); holding a shim ring (26) in the bearing seat (24) by magnetic interaction; and coupling the first housing part (16) with the second housing part (18), which coupling presses the rolling bearing (10) into the bearing seat (24), and during this coupling, the shim ring (26) is held in the bearing seat (24) by magnetic interaction. The present invention further relates to a positioning device (28) for positioning the shim ring (26) when assembling the rolling bearing (10).
