Abstract
The present invention relates to an internal rotor comprising a yoke (10), magnets (50), a shaft (11), and one or two end plates (20, 30) at the axial ends of the rotor. The inner surface (51) of each magnet is disposed about the periphery of the yoke. The or each end plate (20, 30) has N axially protruding claws (21, 31) around its periphery, which are formed by blades extending approximately perpendicular to the surface of the end plate. Interference exists between the end plates (20, 30) and the assembly consisting of the yoke (10) and magnets (50). This interference increases as the end plate is axially fitted onto the assembly, thereby increasing the force exerted by the claws (21, 31) on the magnets (50) during assembly. The magnets and claws are internally circumscribed within a tubular magnet case (55) without penetrating the air gap between the rotor and the stator.
