Abstract

The present invention relates to lithium aluminum silicate glass-ceramics having a thermal expansion coefficient of -0.5 to 1.9 ppm / K in the temperature range of 20°C to 700°C, and uses thereof. The glass-ceramics contain the following components in the indicated amounts, expressed in weight percent on an oxide basis: SiO2 60-70, Al2O3 17-25, Li2O >2.4-3.2, MgO 0-<1.8, ZrO2 1.0-4.0, ZnO 0.5-6.0, BaO 0.2-<2.9, CaO >0.1-2, K2O >0-3.0, TiO2 >2.1-5, SnO2 0.1-<1.0, and P2O 50-5.
