Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for detecting road conditions, in which vehicles (1) of a fleet of vehicles are connected to a central processing unit (4) using data technology, in which: - satellite images (B) of the Earth's surface are received by the central processing unit (4), - in the central processing unit (4) road surface image information is extracted from the received satellite images (B) using digital map data (KD), - road conditions of each route section (S) are detected from the extracted road surface image information using a learning algorithm (M).
